Shooting Blanks - 8/30/09
The Pioneer Press' "Shooter" Charley Walters fills out his column with all sorts of ridiculous understatements, overstatements, predictions and otherwise blatant crimes against the print medium. These atrocities must be documented.
Here is another example from Sunday, August 30:
"St. Paul's John "Hondo the Magician" Hughes impressed Golf Channel officials in town for the PGA Championship enough to warrant consideration for a national TV appearance. Hondo recently performed in front of four former U.S. presidents when he visited Mount Rushmore in South Dakota."
Apparently Shooter has now resorted to schlocky humor in his column. Unless Jimmy Carter, both Bushes and Bill Clinton were somehow recently in the Black Hills together.
